Who's Who?

Here's a hint: The first picture was taken on July 24th 2009. The second picture was taken on August 9th, 2006. That would've made the picture of Paige 18 days older than Brooke is in her pic. They're both so chubby!!!

Playing on the swings

We installed a baby swing to our swing set for Brooke to play in. She loves it! We aren't surprised because she loves the swing inside and she loves being outside, so this is the best of both!

Check out our garden behind Paige. Zuchinni, squash and cucumbers are growing like crazy and the tomatoes are getting big and should be turning red very soon!

Chimney Rocks Park

Today we packed a picnic lunch and took a hike in Chimney Rocks Park.

Here's the view of Chimney Rocks from the road:

Here's a zoomed in picture of the rocks:

Before we started hiking we had our picnic lunch in this area:

Paige did so well walking up and down the steep trail by herself:

The first overlook as we hiked up gave us a view of the parking lot where are car is and the area where we had our picnic is on the right:

And here we are at the very top above the chimney rocks:
I think finding this slug was the highlight of Justin's hike:

Painting, gardening, and more

We've been really busy lately. We just got back from vacation in Ocean City... I'll post those pictures a bit later after I sort through all of them.

When we got back, we had a garden full of zucchini! And since they were left to grow for a week, some of them got pretty big!Don't worry, she's not actually licking the zucchini. I was able to grab it before her tongue touched it.
Story time with Daddy:

Here's Paige helping to put primer on the family room walls. We're almost done with our renovations!

Family Room Project - Phase 1

This weekend we started the family room remodel project. When I say "we" I mean mostly Justin and my dad. The first phase is replacing the wood paneling on the lower half of the 2 side walls. They made great progress over the weekend.

If you look closely at the before pictures you'll notice the carpet goes up the wall some as a carpet baseboard under the wood baseboard. So when we decided to replace the carpet we realized we either have to recreate that look with the new carpet or get rid of the dated wood paneling.

The "before" pictures were taken on Friday and the "afters" were on Monday morning.

We still need a few more layers of compound and then prime and painting. Not sure if we'll put a chair rail back up or not.

Phase 2 will be replacing the carpet when we get back from vacation.
