I know she can hold it
I spoke with the director at daycare again about her transition into the Twaddler room. They haven't been too consistent with it. So today she was in there from about 10am until I picked her up a little after 5pm. That's the longest she has spent in there at one time. She even took a 2-hour nap in there (usually only sleeps an hour in Toddler room). The interesting thing I learned is that they don't let the kids have sippy cups. They only drink out of real cups. Maybe that's why she drank 2 cups for me tonight if she didn't get very much during the day. I guess we'll have to start practicing drinking from regular cups at home.

Other sites
Mom's Scrapblog site. Mom continues to have a great time playing around with scrapblogs about Paige, the house, etc. She usually posts here when she finishes a new one--but not always, so be sure to check there for updates!
Paige's Picasa site. We'll occasionally just dump a bunch of pictures to this site, often without comment.
I've added permanent links at the top-right so that you can find those sites easily. :)

Counting to 5
Usually when I pick her up out of the carseat or whatever, I'll go: one, two, three, UP! So, I wasn't all that surprised when she started saying one, two, three last week. But we rarely count up to 5. Must be all that Sesame Street that she's watching!

Paige Update
Tonight, we were watching Elmo together on tv and she gets up off the couch and grabs on to her diaper and said something like either pee or diapee. So I told her we'd go sit on the potty. I figured it was probably too late since usually she tells us after she went. But this time her diaper was dry when I took it off and sat her down. She sat and we talked and she sat and sat there. Finally I started getting a bath ready since we were just sitting and waiting. Normally she opposes taking a bath, but this time she started undressing herself while she was sitting on the potty and then walked over to the tub saying "bath". So I put her in the tub after her unsuccessful potty time. Not more than 1 minute later, the water starts turning yellow! I think we can consider this a milestone since she recognized needing to go potty before she pee'd and also being able to deliberately hold in the pee until she was off the potty.
Picture day is this Friday at daycare! And guess what they are serving for lunch that day....sloppy joes. Hopefully they'll get her picture in before they eat lunch and maybe I'll send a spare set of clothes for her to wear after picture time. They stop using bibs in the Toddler room at daycare. I swear I spent hours scrubbing out the chili stains on her white t-shirt last week and the stains still didn't fully come out. Maybe I'll send a bib on Friday and hope they remember to put it on her.
The weather is warming up. It's in the 90's this week! Over the weekend, we went to the playground in our development. Paige just loves the slides. The one slide twists around and is at least 8-10 feet tall. She goes down it all by herself! We also went to Peter Piper Pizza last week and she was going down their big kid slides which seemed to go really fast and just loved it. She didn't want to look at any of the other games there, just the slides!

In other news
A quick update on the house: Inspection was this week and either they had a lousy inspector or we are fantastic homeowners (I seem to think it's the latter). Anyway, the inspector found absolutely NO problems with our house! I really didn't think there would be anything major, but you know they can always nitpick if they want to. The appraisal was on Friday and we haven't heard any news on that yet. We're hoping no news is good news.

Twaddler transition
Paige loves her sunglasses. She wore them when we were leaving daycare and then still had them on in the car. Of course about 5 minutes later she had them off and was playing with them. Finally I took them from her and told her she could have them back when we get home. Usually this brings on a tantrum when you take anything away from her. But I just kept telling her she'd get them when we got home. It was finally starting to sink in and she would repeat "glasses home, glasses home, glasses home" over and over again for most of the ride home. Here's a picture of her in her glasses when we finally got home.

Our House
I took some pictures of the backyard and put in the scrapblog below. We are definitely outgrowing this house, but at the same time it will be sad for us to leave it since it was our first house and everything Paige has ever known.
Soggy Sandy
A few weeks ago, we bought Paige "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland." It's a fun little romp, and Paige loves it...all Elmo, all the time. There's a little diddy that's been in my head from the movie. It's a short little song by a grouch kid, and I was surprised that Google couldn't find the lyrics anywhere on the web. So I've decided to reproduce them here. I think this would be a fabulous toy idea, provided that the doll came with the song:
"Soggy Sandy wet her pants,
That's why they call her soggy.
Watch her do her soggy dance,
Then after you'll get wet."
Hopefully this post will help get it out of my head!!! -Dad

Being Silly
Here's yet another ScrapBlog. If you click in the lower right corner, where it says ScrapBlog, it will open a new window to the scrap blog site. Then there will be another link at the top right corner that says View Full Screen. That will give you the best view. I know it can be difficult to see the pictures when you're just looking at it inside this blog.
These pictures were all taken last night when I was trying to change her into her pj's. I'm not sure if you can see in that first picture, but she still has her sandals on. And when I finally got her to put her pj's on and I took off those sandals she had the biggest fit! So I put them back on her on top of her footed pj's (I wish I would've taken a picture of that). She actually slept with them on all night and wore the sandals again to school today!
