Potty Progress
I think Paige is trying to rush us into potty training her, and we're just not ready! This morning the only way I could get her diaper off of her was when I asked if she wanted to sit on the potty. "Yes" she eagerly answered. She sat there for a few minutes and pushed and grunted (no idea where she learned that from). But when she pushes, she would let out a toot, so she was actually trying! After a few minutes she jumps up and exclaims she went potty. So I praise her for trying. Then I say, ok let's put the diaper back on. And I get a nice, loud, clear "NO"! I struggle with her for several minutes. She manages to pull the diaper out of my hand and then runs into the other room and throws it as far as she can. At this point I'm ready to give up. I tell her fine, but if she has to go pee or poop she needs to tell me first to go on the potty or she's gonna have a big mess in her pants. She pulls her pants up and goes downstairs. Justin is mortified that I was gonna let her sit on our dining room furniture without a diaper. So the struggle began again to get a diaper on. I don't know where she gets her strength. 10 minutes of screaming, squirming and struggling we finally get one on to one unhappy toddler. I really think that if we had a week where we could just let her run around naked and not mind the carpet getting soaked that she would be trained in no time. But we just don't have the time for that right now!
