We had a small but fun celebration tonight for Jen's birthday. We went to Fridays for dinner, and then came home for Coldstone Creamery cake and presents. Paige helped me pick out the cake at Coldstone (strawberry passion), and she helped me decorate the kitchen with a happy birthday banner and balloons. She was pretty excited to sing happy birthday (we practiced in the car on the way home from day care), but she froze up when she saw all the candles on the cake. She did eventually sing it later, though.Paige was a bit surprised when it came to eating the cake--we forgot to tell her it was ice cream cake, and with her first bite she was shaking her head in almost a panic! At first she only wanted to eat the cake...though in the end she was getting a fair bit of the ice cream too and wasn't exactly complaining.

Happy Belated Jen! Paige is getting too cute- congrats on the move into a new home!! Now the fun part begins :)
Happy belated birthday! I am so excited that you have finally gotten settled into your new home. Hope Justin is feeling better. I laugh as I imagine Paige's face as she experienced the ice cream cake. You just never know with little ones how they are going to imagine things.
