Settling in

We moved into the new house this past weekend! Everything went pretty well. We even had a lot of stuff unpacked including the entire kitchen before the week started.

Paige is adjusting very well. She's been sleeping in her new room for 3 nights now, and has actually been doing better than what she had been at the old house. Knock on wood.

Paige started at her new daycare yesterday. She was a little clingy when I dropped her off, but she wasn't really crying. I finally told her I had to go and handed her off to one of the teachers. She let the teacher pick her up without any fussing. I called to check in around 1pm and they said she ate a good lunch and was taking a nap. Justin and I both went together to pick her up last night. She was just kind of walking around the room, but was very happy to see us. She said she had a good time and they sent home 2 art projects just from her first day! I was a little nervous because she's the youngest kid in her class. It's a preschool class for ages 3-4, but Paige won't be 3 until May. They figured this would be easier than trying to transition her in a few months. There's a total of 16 kids in the class (if they are all there at the same time) and two teachers. The nice thing is we will only be paying for the days that she is in school. If we have off or take a vacation, we pay a daily rate and not weekly. As long as she is there for a minimum of 3 days a week. That will come in handy over the summer when Justin is off and I'm on maternity leave.

...and that option will come in handy when Nama and Pop come visit over a long weekend off and on and she won't need to go to daycare some of those days!

For the record, Paige has ranged from a fair to outright horrible sleeper since Jen wrote this.
