It started last Friday. When we picked her up at school she had a sticker on her shirt and was so excited to tell us she went poop in the potty at school! Before this point, I can't even remember the last time she used the potty. She sits on the one at school all the time and just started sitting on the one at home occasionally, but she would never actually go. Friday night at home she was telling us diapers were for babies and she peed on our potty before bed. So we decided since we didn't have much going on over the weekend we'd give potty training a shot.
On Saturday she had 2 or 3 accidents. On Sunday she had 2 more. She didn't poop all weekend :( On Monday morning she wouldn't go before school, so I sent her in pull ups to school. I figured she was due for a poop and didn't want that to be her next accident. I sent a few pairs of underwear with her to school and an extra change of clothes. I left it up to them if they wanted to keep her in pull ups/diapers or let her keep trying with the underwear. I was very pleased when she came home in underwear and with lots of stickers. She went poop 3 times in the potty and only had 2 pee accidents at school on Monday. One Tuesday she had 1 pee accident at school. And Wednesday and Thursday she was accident free! She's still wearing diapers at bedtime and they are wet most mornings. But last night about an hour after we put her down to bed she called to us that she had to use the potty. She also really dislikes having to wear a diaper to bed, so hopefully she'll night train quickly.
Everyone always says they will train when they are ready and in Brooke's case that was entirely true. She is definitely ready to be a big girl now and very proud of it!
